The guided tour is coming soon...

The Camarillo Area

This is a lovely town with a population of about 60,000 people.  Camarillo is becoming known as the "Silicon Valley of Southern California".  Camarillo is in Ventura County, California, which has regularly been #1 or #2 on the list of counties with the lowest crime rates in the United States.  Golf courses, premium shopping outlets, upscale homes, and of course a collection of high tech businesses mark this pleasant community.  Camarillo residents tend to be very civic-minded, and form a tightly-knit local support group.  More about the area is visible at the City of Camarillo Web Site.

The Airport Business Park

Camarillo's Airport Business Park is adjacent to the airport (no surprise) which supports charter flights but no regularly scheduled commercial airlines.  It's big enough to support Air Force One, and hosts an excellent annual air show around Father's Day.  There is more airport information at the Camarillo Airport web site.

The business park was originally a military installation.  Much effort is going into converting or replacing the older government-style buildings with modern offices, and Logix is pleased to be a major player in this process.

Welcome to Logix Development Corporation. For those of you who have not had the opportunity to make it out to our new facility here in Camarillo, we’ve put together this Internet tour.

Mid year 1997, Logix realized that its existing facility would not sustain the rapid growth that the company had been experiencing. So, research was undertaken to find a new home. We needed room to grow, a community with a strong work force, and a location that provided a pleasant working environment. And we found all of that here in Camarillo, California.

Located right on the Airport property, we did a complete renovation of a building that had in its past housed a military mess hall, an engineering group, and we believe a firing range! We tore down every interior wall and started from scratch.

Our lobby is what you’d expect from a successful growth oriented company. This is the most ornamental part of our tour (the rest is highly technical and functional). The coral reef in the tank was flown live overnight from the Caribbean. The friendly receptionists we procured locally.

As we work our way into the building, you’ll see we still have several unoccupied offices, ready for the administrative growth that we continue to experience.

TRAINING ROOM

Our first actual stop is our training room. Set up as a smaller version of our full CallCenter, new operators learn our software, customer support, and sales techniques with the assistance of our training staff. When not in use for new operators, refresher training and upgrade training take place on a regular basis. And on occasion, small or one-time projects are handled completely from this location.

Turning the corner, we arrive at the back end of our primary call center. This is the biggest reason we moved to this facility: We had literally outgrown our previous call center. Now, we have the availability to seat a minimum of 68 operators, and the building will support over 100 operators without needing to split our call center into multiple locations.

Any time you visit our call center, day or night, you will see operators taking calls for a variety of clients, including satellite subscription and service calls, hospitality service calls, product sales and information, and credit card clearing questions. Always under the watchful eye of a supervisor and at lead operators, who roam the call center monitoring calls and providing quality assurance.

Tech Lab

TECH LAB

Just to our left is our Tech lab and tech storage room. Here at Logix, we build and maintain all our computers and equipment. In fact, unlike many organizations, we rely on practically no outside assistance for any aspect of technology infrastructure. From network and telephony cabling, hardware assembly, back office implementation and maintenance, and even general building maintenance, all work is done by Logix employees, ensuring the fastest response time.

DATACENTER

Moving on, we arrive at the hub of the Logix technological infrastructure, the Datacenter. With raised computer floors and large rackmount consoles, the area has been described as looking less like a call center facility and more like a mission control. Which would be the more accurate description, for in addition to supporting our call center activities, the Datacenter provides the hardware and personnel to run and monitor communications satellite broadcast, inter-office networking, communications, back office processing, financial processing, internet & wide area networking, and a host of other services and processes. In addition to being manned 24/7 by a technically trained staff, all our senior technicians are on call by alpha pager to assist in any emergency situation.

TECHNICAL  DEVELOPMENT

Through the Datacenter, we arrive at our Tech Dev department. These programmers comprise over half of the senior staff at Logix, and their technical skills, hard work and loyalty to the company provide the backbone for all our of business endeavors. Logix started out as a custom programming shop, and many of our programmers have been with the company during its transition to a technology service provider. The skills that made us a premier software developer are now going into creating the finest back office software available.

Well, we didn’t stop by the break room, but we’ve seen most of what the downstairs has to offer. We’d take the elevator up, but since that breaks up the flow of my tour, we’ll just take the stairs instead.

ACCOUNTING & ADMINISTRATION OFFICES

Arriving on the second floor, we are in the middle of our finance, accounting and administrative departments. Supporting the efforts of those downstairs, these people have the business knowledge necessary to ensure the smooth running of a company who is growing and changing on a day to day basis.

GRAPHICS DEPARTMENT

Also just up the stairs is our graphics department. In this small studio, we have the ability to digitally create broadcast quality video and graphics for use in TV commercials, radio, print and Internet advertising. And since it’s all created in house and in one location, all advertising for a client has a consistent look, feel and scope across these different mediums.

EXECUTIVE OFFICES

Finally, we have offices for our company officers; our Legal Counsel, CFO, VP & CEO. In fact, a tour usually ends at either the office of the President, or we continue back downstairs to our elegant conference room. Either location has complete multi-media and teleconferencing capabilities, and the conference room is only slightly larger!

THANK YOU!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our facility on-line. The same tour is available at almost any time for prospective clients. Feel free to contact us to set up your tour.
